In this anthology film composed of 56 single-shot vignettes, some including commentary on political and social issues, others offering a documentary glimpse into everyday life, the film paints a raw, mosaic-like picture of modern Icelandic society during the annual Christmas and New Year holiday season.
We hate to say it, but we can't find anywhere to view this film.

The Hollywood Reporter by Boyd van Hoeij
This is an exciting new direction for Runarsson, who proves that making a film about Iceland today doesn’t necessarily require a three-act narrative structure and characters with carefully calibrated needs and desires and neatly constructed backstories.
The cumulative effect is like strolling through a Reykjavik gallery where each painting moves within its well-chosen frame.
Once a sense of rhythm is grasped, things fall into place, and audiences will exit the cinema debating their favorite scenes, recalling a wealth of graceful, humane interactions.
