The Rickshaw Man(無法松の一生)

After the death of her husband, single mother Yoshiko is struggling to take care of her son. Luckily, she finds a friend in Muhomatsu, a poor but optimistic rickshaw driver from her village. As he becomes a surrogate father to Yoshiko's son, the two fall in love, but class divides threaten to keep them apart.
