In this experimental film, filmmaker Ben River documents the life of Jake Williams. Williams finally realizes his dreams of moving into the forest after years at sea. Without much plot or dialogue, River turns an observant and critical eye towards those who chose to live outside of society.

What are critics saying?
Mileage will vary from viewer to viewer as to whether this singularly eccentric movie is ultimately illuminating or enervating.
Village Voice by Nick Pinkerton
The imagery has all the solemn ravishment of Béla Tarr's similarly darkening "The Turin Horse" with none of the epochal portentousness, while Rivers's work owes more to Billy Bitzer than most gallery art contemporaries.
The Guardian by Peter Bradshaw
What a strange and intriguing film.
It’s technically a doc, but neither Rivers nor his inscrutable subject is interested in backstory.
