Confused both dramatically and politically, this is a film whose perhaps worthy ambitions seem to have outstripped its makers' talents — ironically, Forgotten is an expression of the very political forgetfulness it wishes to rectify.

What are people saying?
What are critics saying?
In showing how some men derive primal, perverse senses of pleasure and power from their brutality, how small men make themselves feel large and invincible, the film distills the roots of terror (political, cultural, religious) to truths that are tragically evergreen.
Washington Post by Mark Jenkins
Despite numerous missteps and contrivances, Olvidados succeeds as an indictment of Operation Condor’s horrors.
Los Angeles Times by Martin Tsai
By cramming in as many tangents as imaginable, Olvidados ultimately loses sight of what the story is even about.
The New York Times by Nicole Herrington
While it would be a tall order to fully elucidate this complicated history in two hours, Olvidados is hamstrung by Mr. Bolado’s lack of focused direction and a convoluted plot.
