In a story spanning sixteen years, Jacobo Vidal—an authoritarian, obsessive and dysfunctional pater familias—struggles with his relationship with his children, Tomás and Valeria. Starting in 1996 post-Olympic Barcelona, the four-part saga follows the economic and political crises that have shaken Spain since the 1990s, and the correspondingly profound changes in Spanish society.
