Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani got an instant hit TRP and good critics on its premiere week. It was first titled as Fanna – A dark love story, but later they changed it to enhance its romantic plotline and thus, it was titled 'Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaanii.' The show was an Indian adaptation of Twilight but had its own distinct story, which captivated its viewers.
