After twelve years abroad, Thomas returns to his family farm in southeastern France to be near his mother, who has been hospitalized. Though his father is less than friendly, Thomas also meets Alex, his 6-year-old nephew, and Mona, the boy’s mother, for the first time, as he accustoms himself to the old farm life.
