Andre Laurent works as a tugboat captain, splitting time between the sea and caring for his ailing wife. During a rescue, Andre saves a woman named Catherine from a sinking freighter. He finds himself drawn to this mysterious and alluring young woman, and tempted to stray from his marriage.
