Dr. Gisa Tonius, a physicist in her mid-thirties, is asked to take charge of a major interdisciplinary research project but worries that the new responsiblity will hamper her dream of having a child. Her friends and family offer conflicting advice. Her husband is concerned about losing her to her career, while her professor believes her talents come with an obligation to science.
