In the 1930s, when Hitler visits Rome for the first time, only two neighbors are left at home while the others go to the square. Housewife Antonietta and repressed gay man Gabriele encounter each other in their building and develop a something of a friendship. As the day turns to night, Antonietta and Gabriele develop a very special relationship that will radically alter both of their outlooks on life.
