Shoreline explores the nearly 3000 kilometers of South African coastline – stretching from the desert border with Namibia on the Atlantic coast southwards around the tip of Africa and then north to the border with Mozambique on the Indian Ocean. It reveals how natural wonders and historic events have shaped the lives of coastal communities, and focuses on the natural history, history and archaeology of each region, to build an evolving, encyclopedic picture of the South African coastline.
