Conquistador Hernán Cortés arrives on the shores of what is now Mexico and faces resistance from both the local population and conflict within his own troops as he attempts to conquer Latin America. Each episode is told from a different character’s perspective, and follows how a man with a few hundred soldiers brought about the downfall of the Mayan empire.
