In a divided Germany in 1983, a 24-year-old East German soldier Martin Rauch is pulled from his post as a border guard and given a more difficult assignment: gathering NATO military secrets as an undercover spy for the Stasi foreign service. As he travels between East and West Germany, nothing is quite what it seems.
