Martín Hidalgo, a medicine student raised by his religious mother and who has never met his father, is the leader of the students of a Chilean university during the 60's. His rival, Andrés is a law student. They will engage in a hard struggle to get the presidency of the student federation and the love of Magdalena, a student of literature from a wealthy family.
