A French battalion led by two captains attacks the Sultan Rabah in 1899 Cameroon, razing a path of destruction and bloodshed. The French send troops to stop them, but the rogue soldiers kill them too. When word reaches the queen of the Aznas, Sarraounia, a skilled commander and witch, she begins a resistance.
