Between her second pregnancy, policeman boyfriend, mentally ill brother, and small business selling firewood, Mamon's mother is much too busy to make her emotionally dependent 13-year-old daughter the center of her world. Mamon resents this state of affairs, and will do anything to get her mother's attentions back.
