Young drifter Gino stops at an inn in the countryside, where he is immediately attracted to Giovanna, the young wife of the owner. Unsatisfied with her life in the country, Giovanna seduces Gino, and convinces him to help her murder her husband. Although wary, Gino agrees, but the couple’s actions have unintended, tragic consequences.
