Pete Carlton, a 10-year-old boy suffering from terminal cancer, is determined to catch the elusive blue morpho butterfly, which he believes can cure him. His mother, desperate to help him fulfil his dream, convinces entomologist Alan Osborne to accompany him on a trip to Central America and locate the butterfly. Thus begins a life-changing adventure for the both of them...
