How Saudi Arabia Confronted Al-Qaeda is a documentary film consisting of three parts, the first parts were shown on December 2, the second on December 3, 2015, and the third and final part on December 4, 2015. The equivalent of 578 hours of film and documentary material was recorded, and the equivalent of 62 interviews were conducted with officers and soldiers who were among the participants in the war that Saudi Arabia faced to eliminate al-Qaeda from 2003 to 2009, and it shows videos from within terrorist groups. The viewer can see the details of the operations through the testimonies of security elements who accompanied this war through raids or pursuits of terrorists. It also presents, for the first time, scenes of the last moments before carrying out attacks, and other painful scenes of young men who were deceived, who filmed them before carrying out the attacks. It highlights the success of the security authorities in fighting al-Qaeda and dismantling its sleeper cells.
