Twenty-three year old Niki de Saint Phalle's life changes when McCarthyism begins in America. A young mother, Saint Phalle choses to flee, and return to France. While things seem happy in France, difficult memories begin to flood back. Haunted by her past, Saint Phalle turns to art.
