The young botany student Jane travels to the jungles of South-America to finish her doctorate. She quickly develops a close relationship to the mysterious professor (and hobby chef) Juan Carnívoro, who shares her "appetite" for knowledge. But one day, as he's giving her a guided tour of the campus, she finds out that she's on the curriculum.
