With 27 minutes of extra footage, this extended cut presents outtakes from the documentary American Tongue. American Tongue showcased dialects from across the United States. This cut shows additional clips that document Boston's North End Accent. Shot in 1985, the film follows Phillip, an Italian American living in the North End, as he moves throughout his city and discusses why he talks the way he talks.
