John Zinga, a descendant of slaves with a beautiful singing voice, desires to return to his ancestral homeland. When his singing talents cause him to rise to international stardom, he decides to use his financial success to move there. However, will John’s upbringing in a white, western country prevent him from being accepted by the country’s natives?
