Songs Happen Like Refrains in a Revolution

In 2021, in the middle of the pandemic, Martika Escobar asked her musical friends to send her snippets of conversation and singing. This new film work required Escobar to continue a lineage of improvisational filmmaking; to embrace an element of the unknown and to arrange it into a narrative of her own.
