This documentary about South Limburg consists of four parts that were produced in 1918 by Filmfabriek Hollandia as educational films for the Dutch School Film Committee. In 1919, the four films were combined under the title Limburg in Pictures, along with the film Coal mining in limburg. The film Maastricht includes footage of the River Maas, the crowded city centre, and the St. Pietersburg Plateau. Agriculture and cattle in Limburg shows the rolling countryside with its farmhouses as well as a draft-horse competition show. The Marl Industry features the marl quarrying industry in the province. Valkenburg and its surroundings features a train journey from Bemelen to the ‘Quadripoint’ near Vaals.
We hate to say it, but we can't find anywhere to view this film.
