Growing up under a harsh post-colonial government, Djimi and Koni have been friends since boyhood. When Koni attacks an official, the resulting massacre forces them on a journey from boys to revolutionaries. While Koni embraces the guerilla life, Djimi yearns for the village life they left behind, and this divergence threatens to come between them.
