Upon her return from the city, where she was visiting her cousin, Djénéba brings her husband, Konaté, a very peculiar gift: a condom. Konaté is enraged, disavowing contraceptives, refusing to change his habits. Well aware of the devastating effects of AIDS, which was decimating populations across the world, Djénéba refuses to capitulate.
