In rural Tanzania, Fatuma works hard alongside her husband, Manyusi, and their daughter, Neema, to keep the family farm afloat. When a suitor for Neema appears, tensions flare as the family members disagree about the prospective marriage. At the same time, Neema and Fatuma struggle to be appreciated for their contributions to the farm.
