My White Baby(Me broni ba)

A portrait of hair salons in Kumasi, depicting the legacy of European colonialism through images such as women practicing hair-braiding on discarded white baby dolls. Unfolding through vignettes, it is the story of migrating from Ghana to the U.S., and an exploration of the Akan term of endearment, "me broni ba", which means “my white baby.”
