Arlit: The Second Paris(Arlit, deuxième Paris)

In the early 70s, when the uranium mines of Arlit, Niger employed around 25,000 workers, the town was a vibrant cultural hub, but when the mines shuttered and the European companies left the town littered with obsolete machinery, the townspeople were left to pick up the pieces of the wreckage of their town.
