When a mysterious virus spreads across the world, 160 people are chosen by an organization called Venus Gate as candidates to experiment on for a cure. The candidates are placed into hibernation, but when some abruptly awake 48 hours later, they soon realize the situation they are in is nothing like they ever imagined.
