In 2001, Iranian president Mohammad Khatami runs for re-election. This documentary begins by focusing on a group of young men and women as they campaign for the reform-minded Khatami. But the filmmaker gradually shifts her attention to Arezoo Bayat, a twice-divorced single mother who decides to run for president herself.
