Silent Movie

A compilation of famous filmmaker Chris Marker's response to the one-hundredth anniversary of the invention of cinema, which he developed as the recipient of the Wexner Center Residency Award in media arts for 1994-95. The installation, as it was originally displayed, consisted of a video installation of five monitors, a series of enlarged black-and-white video stills, a series of suggestive intertitles, and computer-designed sketches of movie posters displayed on nearby walls.
