A blacksmith brings a tortoise to his son, Rabi, who is so fascinated that he forgets his chores. Angry, the father takes it away, so Rabi's grandfather helps him find a larger one, opening the boy's eyes to the ways of nature. Wanting to tame the tortoise, Rabi starts defying parental authority.
