What The Seed lacks in profundity or consistent atmosphere it very nearly makes up for in its application of nasty effects and striking makeup.

The Film Stage by Jared Mobarak
If Walker has some interesting ideas and an eye for panache, the whole leaves much to be desired.
When it’s best, The Seed is covered in slop and prone to psychedelic “romance” sequences where actresses writhe under and between the creature’s endless tissue flaps. It’s obscene and artful, on a budget that proves “doing it yourself” can still be provocative.
Albeit a good-looking movie with a fascinating premise, The Seed is constantly being held hostage by its poorly written script.
