Two celebrities, Lee Je Hoon and Ryu Jun Yeol, take a break from their busy careers and travel to Cuba. As backpackers, they find lodgings, sip mojitos, sample dishes, and admire classic cars on the streets of Havana. Through the leisurely pace of travel, they rediscover spontaneity in life and, perhaps, themselves.

What are critics saying?

75

USA Today by Robert Bianco

The show seems faster, brighter and more entertaining than most of the serials that beat it to the punch this fall.

70

The New York Times by Alessandra Stanley

The first episode of “Traveler” is well made and quite gripping.

70

Pittsburgh Post-Gazette by Rob Owen

An action-packed adrenaline rush.

70

Variety by Brian Lowry

The premiere plays like a solid thriller.

70

Newsday by Diane Werts

A pretty nifty, if completely insane, suspense/conspiracy/ chase/road adventure.

70

Los Angeles Times by Mary McNamara

It's all very tense and fun, underscored by sirens and ominous techno music, shot in that popular, over-caffeinated jumpiness that here at least makes sense.

63

New York Post by Linda Stasi

The action is fast and sometimes even compelling, if not entirely believable - or even a little believable.

60

Washington Post by Tom Shales

The show... can easily be enjoyed simply as a fairly proficient thriller, pushing the kind of buttons that Alfred Hitchcock used to push with such films as "North by Northwest" -- although here they're pushed with much less artfulness and finesse.

60

Chicago Tribune by Maureen Ryan

Another workmanlike, reasonably decent thriller.

50

Philadelphia Daily News by Ellen Gray

Like so many current serials, [it] requires viewers to buy into the idea that its heroes have no choice but to do very unobvious things.
