When Greetje's father, butcher Tuitjes, enters into battle with his Italian competitor Smakkerelli, the formerly rustic village of Moppel is turned upside down. Tuitjes loses customers, and Greetje may also lose her great love Nol. The two sworn enemies have agreed that the loser of the competition of the Association for Meat Products of Fresh Pigs must leave the village forever. For Greetje, the annual sausage competition is a diabolical dilemma: does she choose her father or herself?
