This encounter leads to a great awakening, but also to a clash with the native culture. Additionally, it emphasizes the limitations of the local population to understand and read Spanish. To resolve this problem, Sistu is chosen to travel weekly to Ollantaytambo to watch a film and then retell the story to the villagers in the main square. One day he finds that the tent where the movies are shown is gone-the cinema has disappeared. Sistu’s desire to tell a story to the people waiting for him every week leads him to create his own film, with his own actors and his own culture, and most importantly, in his own language.
