When middle-aged suburban couple, Laura and Bruno are gifted a remote couples’ retreat for their anniversary, they decide to give their failing marriage one last shot before calling it quits. Arriving in an idyllic sanctuary nestled in the mountains, Laura and Bruno uncomfortably enter a world of laughter workshops, tantric dance, sexual liberation and emotional animals, helmed by the charismatic guru Bjorg Rassmussen. When new temptations start to take hold, the couple are pushed to the brink forcing them to look within to find what they really want. But will they bare all to get it?

In the pantheon of invented languages, there have been many of studied, intricate beauty: Elvish, Klingon, Na’vi. Nude Tuesday’s language is not one of them. It is lewd and crude, landing somewhere between a bad ABBA impression and backpackers at Oktoberfest. It’s as though an alien learnt Swedish entirely through Ikea’s most misjudged product names – and it is utterly delightful.

Laugh out loud funny, strangely charming, and a truly unique endeavor, "Nude Tuesday" is exactly the kind of movie you love to discover on the film festival circuit, and it deserves to find an audience on the big screen, even if it's just for the indie crowd.

Overall, Nude Tuesday is a creative leap that mostly lands. The absurdist comedy can be hit or miss, but the ingenuity of the storytelling, respectful treatment of all kinds of bodies, and talent of the actors on screen make it gel together.

The oddball, fun factor potential is present in Nude Tuesday. But as it stands, it’s just another slightly strange, will they or won’t they get back together, love story.
