Genre Documentary

Cleverly blending reality and myth, this mockumentary (or "docu-fiction," as its director described it) explores the Yugoslav space program, diving into a conspiracy theory about how the program became caught up in the Cold War. Testing the viewer's ability to tell fact from fiction, this film provides a clever, unique political satire.

Variety by Jessica Kiang

It’s simply not about very much aside from lampooning the ease with which a canny storyteller (for such Virc undoubtedly is) can fabricate “truthiness” by co-opting the tropes and mechanisms that we all long ago accepted as the documentary norm.

Village Voice by Nick Schager

The underlying point of this elaborate stunt is that modern audiences are all too willing to believe (and be manipulated by) anything sold in a familiar nonfiction package. No matter how valid that theory might be, there are surely more compelling ways to offer it than via a one-note, 88-minute-long joke.
