World Confectionary is struggling in its competition against its rival companies and international competitors. When their newest advertising campaign pulls a young girl, Kyoko, into stardom, she and the employees of World Confectionary must face the price of success.
While it can definitely be a bit slower for audiences used to faster pacing, Giants and Toys is a fascinating look at advertising and stardom. These themes, and the way they are presented in this film, make it an interesting watch that remains relevant even in a drastically different context than its original production.
