The sole memento of their parents’ lives that Andreas and his sister Vanessa still possess is a single solitary video cassette, nothing more. When the filmmaker finds it after nearly 20 years, he realizes that he and his sister never spoke about their loss. Raised by German-Russian grandparents in a ghetto of German Russians, there was never space for such talk. Now Andreas wants to know what Vanessa feels and he wants to share his feelings with her.
