Time Out

Icky and unsettling, this British horror film crawls under your skin.

80

CineVue by Christopher Machell

Possum’s evocation of wrongness, that unbalancing feeling that something is off – if only you could put your finger on it – lingers long after its overdetermined climax has resolved.

Time Out by Olly Richards

Icky and unsettling, this British horror film crawls under your skin.

63

Slant Magazine by Pat Brown

In the end, there's little payoff for all the repetitive series of evocative visions and mute stares.

60

Variety by Dennis Harvey

If this wrap-up proves less than fully satisfying, Possum still casts an impressive spell.

The Guardian by Peter Bradshaw

This film induces a grisly shiver, like a slug dropped down the back of your neck, and there are some amazing images. But I wondered if it was finally unfinished and anticlimactic.
