While the imagery is absolutely beautiful, the film struggles with pacing, and the story is somewhat tedious, although the book suffers from the same problem. Nonetheless, the film is certainly worth viewing for the imagery alone.

Based on Sigrid Undset's classic novel, the film follows Kristin Lavransdatter as she is conflicted by two opposing desires: love and faith. Her father wants her to marry Simon, while she is in love with Ereland, an excommunicated Catholic. Struggling with perceived sin, Kristin turns towards faith.
We hate to say it, but we can't find anywhere to view this film.
