Roger, a downtrodden reporter, has a brilliant idea: train his son Michel to open and close a door as fast as possible in the hopes of beating a world record. If Michel does this 40,000 times, Roger wins a brand new car. Getting in the way is Roger's obsessive, domineering nature that obscure his love for his family.
