A series of child abduction cases lead elementary school teachers Noboru and Kyoko to investigate an urban legend spreading throughout the town. They discover that a slit-mouthed woman is on the loose, a malevolent spirit with a giant pair of scissors who asks her victims, "Am I pretty?"
