20 years after the Rwandan genocide, Augustin Muganza, a Hutu soldier opposed to the violence, is still struggling for closure. When he is invited by his brother Honoré, a radio personality who was one of the voices spurring Hutus on in their attacks, to visit the latter as he stands trial for his involvement in the genocide, Augustin must decide whether he wants to face the past.
