This documentary focuses on legendary Japanese filmmaker Yasujirō Ozu. Wenders interviews Ozu, his longtime collaborator Yuharu Atsuta, and one of his favorite actors Chishū Ryū. In addition to Ozu, Wenders also focuses on the tension between the traditional and modern aspects to Tokyo and Japanese culture.
