Magic

A storyteller ushers us down from the clouds and into the tale of an affable Duke, his guests, and a conjurer. The Duke hires the conjurer for an evening of parlor magic. This is in answer to his niece Patricia's apparent liaisons with fairies and the like. With the arrival of Patricia's cynical brother Morris, the evening begins to unravel. The other guests, Dr. Grimthorpe, family physician, and the new Vicar Smith, are drawn into what is about to become a very strange evening indeed. The hapless magician pressed to the point of airing out his own demons takes a trick too far. Opinions are aired, arguments turn to quarrels and as the night wears on you begin to realize all is not what it seems - or is it?
