The Ox(Oxen)

It is the year 1867 in Sweden, and a devastating famine is plaguing the nation. Fearing starvation, a desperate peasant named Helge Roos slaughters his master's ox and feeds it to his wife and baby daughter. While the crime initially seems to go unnoticed, a search for the missing ox begins, threatening Roos and his family's livelihoods.
